Just like its aeronautical precursor, the Learjet, revolutionized the aeronautical industry, the Learboat is revolutionizing the electric boat industry. And with the increasing costs of fuel, its timing couldn't be better. The trailerable 20' LEAR 204, is the first electric boat designed to go all day on one single charge, provide roomy home-away-from-home living space, close up like a clam so that no cover is required and, because of the patented retractable hardtop feature, it allows owners to travel easily to explore remote pristine waterways.

The revolutionary breakthrough during extensive testing in the last year and a half proved the aerospace technology resists corrosion and breakage, and with AGM non-hazardous batteries, maintenance and service needs to be done only once a year. The plug-and-play technology makes any part replacement a breeze. For that reason, Lears are now being shipped all over the world to individual home owners, waterway explorers and waterfront restaurants, resorts and convention centers.

Marine industry dealers have been eager to sign up to represent the only electric boats that are selling well in this gas-crunched economy. LEAR 204 owners say they are thrilled that they don't have to go to the fuel dock and shell out hundreds of dollars and contribute to air and water pollution.

The name Lear is synonymous with no hassle and the company slogan "Quality is not expensive. ...It is priceless" is very evident. The Learboat, which is designed to give families years of on-the-water fun again proves that this second generation Lear will also become legendary. The LEAR 204 features an aft swim platform and retractable boarding ladder for added convenience.

Designed with plenty of teak throughout and very comfortable seating for up to 11 adults, the Learboat can cruise at 5 mph all day. There's even an available heater, and the clear window curtains ensure comfort and a dry ride should the weather change

Adding a little Lear heritage, the throttle on the Learboat was designed to deliver the feel and touch of the Learjet throttle, although the Learboat cruises at a leisurely 5 mph.

In a recent market survey, four categories of Learboat enthusiasts stood out: Baby Boomer Boaters who don't want to deal with awkward boat covers; women who are intimidated by boating but who want to enjoy the water without the hassle or risk of looking foolish; children who want to have fun in a safe environment all day long with the convenience of a parent close at hand who can use the boat as a home office; and most surprising of all are DINKs (Dual Income No Kids) who enjoy renting a Lear for an outing with either business associates to talk in a truly private meeting room or to entertain friends and family on the weekends.

Produced by Lear Baylor Inc. in Southern California, the sleek new electric craft is the new "must have" for discriminating waterfront homeowners and adventurous explorers who want "peace and quiet" for their friends and family when entertaining dockside or exploring a remote lake or harbor. Wildlife viewing is enhanced, thanks to its virtually silent operation.

It doesn't make a wake or bow wave but already the Learboat is causing quite a stir in boating circles. View the LEAR 204 at lear-electric-boats.com to learn more about the Learboat and its revolutionary approach to boating.
